## Background

Starting 1 December 2024, the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) requires all companies incorporated in Malaysia to file financial statements in XBRL format through the MBRS 2.0 (Malaysian Business Reporting System) platform. This replaces the previous manual filing method. XBRL is a digital business reporting language that allows financial data to be processed digitally by regulators, investors, and stakeholders.
